How do you build a community-led entertainment venture?

The challenge

To engage local communities in arts and culture in a fun and entertaining way.

Our approach

We set up and ran Vintage Cinema, a pop-up immersive events company running in unique locations, including caves, museums and train stations and bringing together themed food, a cocktail bar, singing usherettes and immersive activities.

The outcome

Vintage Cinema was a huge success and has screened hundreds of films. The brand and business were sold and continue to entertain local audiences today.

“We went along to see Jaws at the Natural History Museum at Tring .... and what a way to watch such an iconic film! Everybody was so welcoming and helpful, you genuinely felt that you were being part of something special to the hosts as well as the audience.

Amid the exhibits and in the shadows of the skeletal underwater world, we sipped on fizz and enjoyed popcorn settled comfortably onto bean bag chairs that made for a film sleepover extraordinaire.

An absolute definite 'must-do' and indeed, we will do again”
