The trust has been shortlisted for the Experience Based Design project with Head and neck services. thinkpublic worked with the service improvement team at Luton and Dunstable and the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement to develop the model of Experience Based Design, learnings from this are currently being developed before implementation across the NHS. Since the pilot project ended last year the clinic has continued to use experience based design to improve the service it provides, with the co-design teams still meeting, engaging with new patients, staff and making improvements. Elaine Hide, Service Improvement Lead at the hospital will be presenting the project to the HSJ awards pannel alongside Carole Glover (Specialist Nurse) and Hugh McGrath (Patient involved with EBD).
